Morning Skies (Six panels) PrivateCollection Melbourne
In 1997, every morning for 365 days Christopher Pyett rose at 6.15am to paint the morning sky. The result was his well-known 'Morning Skies' series, a fascinating insight into the changing light, colour and the character of our four seasons. On the back of each of the paintings are weather descriptions and diary notes. The series was painted in Langwarrin.
The four 'Morning Skies' tapestries that follow have all been commissioned from paintings that were part of that series. |
